Absolutely LOL
OK, so its around 1:40am, I got home about half an hour ago...still a little tipsy after a night out with mates. I met a few people on the train, mainly deriving the friendship from common interests such as music, sense of humor, interests in the same novels, and so on. I'm basically on a goal to meet new people in order to meet "the right one". Building an active approach to developing a genuine interest in someone is alot more fun than I thought it would be. I dislike the attitude of hoping something will fall onto your lap or deal with the issue through depression or sympathy (is "deal" the right one? maybe "delaying the inevitable" is a better term).
In layman's terms, i've been going out...ALOT... meeting new people, trying out moves and whatnot. Some of the funniest things ever have happened during these times and as a result I will continue to go out and meet new people. Way way more fun that I realise, and they're stories that I believe are too pretencious to discuss online, its more something that I need to tell you in person in order to develop a geniune interest in the conversation rather than a generic overlay of the story.
So i've recently came back from India (about 2 weeks ago). The main point of the trip was to see relatives and attend my cousin's wedding. The wedding was intense, it was a tremendous occassion with plenty of ego exemplified through vast sums of cash invested in the event. Don't get me wrong, it was amazing and I will do the same thing for my kids when I have them. There was just a missing factor in the whole event... that was the FUN factor. I believe not many people knew each other or wanted to know each other for that matter. Everybody was happy hanging out with their families or immediate friends. Any sign of attraction or affection to people outside your immediate circle may be considered as a potential marriage-in-the-making so there was alot of hesitation, especially from my behalf. I was also feeling slightly ill, which was shown later on when I got extremely sick and had to cancel the whole family's trip to Amritsar to see the Golen Temple (Wow don't I feel like crap? haha). Either way, I had lots of fun because my relatives are AWESOME!!!
I remember about 1 week before I left India to come back to Australia, I was talking with my Sister in law (Babhi-ji) a little after midnight. She was saying that she would miss us, but when we go back to Australia, we would continue on with our daily lives of paying the bills, working, hanging out with friends and eventually forget about the great times we had together in India. The truth is, she would have been absolutely right.......IF she did not tell me that. Now that she's engraved that sentimental thought into my head, every time I vaguely forget about India, her words bring me back to the wonderful memories I had there. I love her for that.
Once again i'm writing a blog after months of perspective. Lets face it, I don't write often...but when I do...its FTW!!!
