The first year of the first year of our lives...am I right folks?
I dont know what it is, but there's something definetly different this year. We've all made considerable decisions and acted on them without stutter or pessimistic expectations. For one thing, I can now do a #2 in public bathrooms. Before I was frightened and let my ass suffer while I held it in until I got home. Im also at a decent weight, 74. 68 - 70kg is my optimum weight. I had an exam today for a subject which everyone said i was going to fail ....especially my conscience. I am so confident that i'll pass it 'cuz my friend is a genius and i got half of the answers he got (so im bound to pass.....right?) . But these are little things, the main thing is
IM GOING TO INDIA!!!!
Thats right, its official. Its been about a month and a bit since I officially accepted an invitation from my friends to go to India. I was planning to go to india for about a year previously, but it was just a narrow thought restricted through everyday workings of life and financial struggle. The initial plan was to stay for 3 weeks, but our itenirary was so compacted we decided to extend it to a month with the same budget. Here is a brief overview of where we will be going:
Arriving at New Delhi, goin to Gurgaon (tHe MiLlEnIum CiTy), Agra (TajMahal, Agra Fort), back to Delhi (Delhi University, Night life, Clubs/Pubs, Delhi Shopping Complex). From Delhi we'll be going to Jaipur (The pink city) and check out the most gorgeous forts and castles, along with the extreme poverty that holds it. Udaipur was on the original itinerary but we decided it is too much trouble getting from udaipur to bombay, so we are going from jaipur back to delhi and catching a flight from Delhi to Bombay. Ahh Bombay, we will be checkin out the Elephanta caves, marine drive, all the beautiful beaches and clubs/pubs, along with shopping of course. Play a game of cricket with some of the curry-folk, mingle here and there. From Bombay we're going to Goa via plane. Ahhh ....Goa, the perfect way to end a vacation. Sitting at the beach starin at the sunset with a beer dug into the sand, holding a guitar and singing in gay abandon as other tourists sing along with you.... Then you say "Hey, where are you from?" and they say "Sydney you?" and ur like "omg same here" then they're like "yeh man u wanna sleep with me im a hot chick you can trust me" and ur like "oh ok" so u take her to ur room and realise its not a hot chick, its a mediocre chick but you do her anyway because you realise you'll never lose ur virginity and this is the only time it'll happen. Then when you wake up you realise the mediocre chick took all your shit so you tell ur friends "man some chick took all my shit" and they pause, look at each other and say "was she hot?" and you lie and say "man she was gorgeous" but everyone knows she was mediocre...
After all that we're going to go back to Delhi and let everything that happened sink in.... Its going to be a sad, sad day when we have to leave. Its going to be a trip of a lifetime!!! sooo excited about this. I think you can tell ;)
